Stretch Goals

Stretch goals are set above your normal standards or are outside of your comfort goals. They are meant to grow you, boost your confidence, and motivate you to keep pushing yourself beyond what you believe you are capable of doing. They must make sense of course like any other goals. You still have to utilize self-awareness and know your strengths weaknesses, and areas for improvement. For example, starting this blog pushed me beyond my introverted comfort zone. I find myself putting myself out there to the world more and gaining confidence as I pursue this journey. However, I would never try to become a pilot…my vision is awful and so that’s a no-go stretch goal.

Activity:

Think about where you could be stretched. What do you have a sense of that you could probably do if you actually tried or pushed yourself? Make a list of a few stretch goals that you want to accomplish, pick one, and get to it.
