What is Important to You in Your Career?

Decision making is not always easy, and sometimes we need a little help. For this activity, you are going to explore what is important to you in your career and why. You can write this out or download the Job Decision Matrix below.

Activity:

  1. List your core values in life, i.e., autonomy, work-life balance, ability to travel, financial stability, etc. Then list why those values are important to you.
  2. Write your top 5 (or more) non-negotiables in a job and why these are important to you.
  3. Examine your current role and see if it aligns with your core values and non-negotiables, and go from there.
