Forgiveness and Healing

Because we are human, all of us, with absolutely no exceptions, have been hurt by someone we know and love or have loved. These actions may have been intentional or unintentional, but we were hurt by them, nonetheless. It can be hard to let go of some of the things that others have done or said to us, and every fiber in our being wants to hold a grudge and make the one or ones who have hurt us suffer. I’m here to tell you that holding on to your hurt and pain, for one, does not hurt the other person, it only causes you anguish and grief. Forgiveness is not for them, it is for you. You can forgive and not forget, but you cannot heal without forgiving.

I encourage you today to release from your heart and soul, all unforgiveness. I know that trauma is real, grief is real, and pain is real, but healing is possible. Unforgiveness is a form of fear and we know that fear is something that holds many back from living the lives they were created to live. Fear has no place in your life, so stop giving it permission to harm you and hold you back. Do yourself a favor, let go of the fear of stepping into yourself and stepping out of a place of fear. Forgive all those who have intentionally and unintentionally caused you pain and sadness. You were created to live, not to hide in the shadows of fear.
